The HPA Stress Profile plus 6 (with Estrone) test is used to evaluate the adrenal glands and hormone balance. Profile #205E includes the estrogen estrone, the weakest of the three naturally occurring estrogens. It can often be elevated in postmenopausal women, or when a patient is taking too much DHEA.
In the event of adrenal exhaustion and imbalances in the reported hormones, underlying causes must be determined through additional lab testing and investigation into environmental and lifestyle factors; while also supporting the endocrine system with therapies and lifestyle modifications.
PLEASE NOTE: Melatonin values on salivary tests are not currently being reported as recalibration is taking place from the laboratory.
NOTE: This test is not available to residents of New York or Maryland. Any orders originating from these states will automatically be canceled. Any samples originating from these states will be discarded.
