FAQS

Are These Tests Covered by Insurance?
Can I Get Insurance Reimbursement Codes?

NO. Products obtained from this website, or via direct links off this website, are NOT covered by health insurance. As our physicians are not consulting directly with you, they cannot diagnose you and cannot provide diagnosis codes.  Insurance companies require diagnosis codes in order to cover testing costs. Therefore, we do not provide invoices with diagnostic codes for insurance reimbursement. The only invoice you will receive is the one that comes with your original order.

Please do not submit any insurance information, (i.e. private, Medicare, Medicaid with your test kit samples) as this may cause your sample to be discarded by the lab.

What Will I Receive With My Lab Test Results?

You will receive a copy of your lab test results, a personalized, written interpretation of your tests, and a recommended course of action to help improve your overall health. Either Dr. Woeller or Dr. Tranchitella will personally review each lab test result. They will provide a written interpretation on pertinent information and suggestions for intervention, such as supplement dosing, duration of use, medication options (when warranted), and dietary recommendations (when necessary). Interpretations may include links to articles, videos, and other websites to further advance your health education. Each lab review will be provided via a pdf document sent to the email address you provided when you placed your order.

Why Does My Test Need an Interpretation?  I Just Want The Test Results.

We understand that some people would like to just order a lab test and have the results sent to them, however, because we are advocating for health empowerment, we feel it is imperative that a professional review each lab test and provide some type of feedback. It would not be appropriate to just release lab data without giving some guidance as to the clinical implications of what various lab markers may indicate. The added “plus” at Lab Tests Plus is the written interpretation of your specific lab results—even if all the markers are normal.

Can I Ask The Doctors Questions About My Health Concerns?

Through our Contact Us section, there is an area for posting questions to the doctors. However, these question are meant to be specific about what lab testing may be most appropriate for your particular situation, and not for your specific health concerns or issues. This question posting area is not meant to be a replacement for a doctors visit or consultation. If you are interested in privately consulting with the doctors via telephone or Skype, you can arrange a consult through their office manager by emailing them at SCMedicalCenter@gmail.com.

Will The Doctors Provide Prescriptions Based On The Lab Test Results?

No. There are no prescriptions provided based on lab testing. In order to prescribe medication, the doctors would have to physically see a patient in person at least once. What they may provide (when deemed necessary) via their written lab interpretation is suggestions for medications, including name and dosing, that can be discussed with your personal doctor.

Will The Doctors Provide Supplement Recommendations?

Yes. With each written lab interpretation, you will receive specific supplement suggestions (when deemed appropriate). Many of these supplements are from leading health professional supplement companies. You will also receive access codes that will allow you to order those supplements directly from the supplement companies.

How Much Time Will It Take To Get My Results?

Lab Tests Plus will process and complete your order within two business days. The lab will ship your order to you within 5-7 business day of receiving the order.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS: You will receive an email from the lab detailing your shipping costs. You will need to contact the lab to arrange payment for shipping before the lab will ship your tests. You should receive your test kits approximately 3-5 business days from the day they are shipped from the lab. Once you complete your test kit and send it back to the lab, the lab will process your results within 2-3 weeks, depending on the complexity of the tests, and the lab’s current work load. NOTE: The labs will NOT guarantee a time table in which you will receive your results. On occasion, the labs get backed up due to the volume of test kits they are processing, which can result in a longer period of time to get your lab results back, but usually, you can anticipate about a 3 week window from when you ship them to when you receive your results via email.

The lab will email us your results, and the doctors will review the results and write your lab interpretation and recommended course of action usually within 2 business days of receiving the results. We will then email you the lab test results, written interpretation and recommended course of action. The entire process will take anywhere from an estimated 2 to 5 weeks total.

If you have ordered a test kit and have not received the results in the above time line, please email us at LabTestsPlus@gmail.com with your order number and we will be happy to contact the lab and provide you a revised time line.

How will I know when my test kit has shipped?

You will receive an email from us indicating your order is complete. This is an indication that the lab has received your order and is shipping your test kit. If, for some reason, you do not receive your test kit within 5 business days of receiving your email confirmation, please contact us at LabTestsPlus@gmail.com and we will be happy to track your order.
